I couldn't have asked for a better stay at Casal Da Serra. The hosts, Antonio and Isabel, were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The room was spacious and clean, with a breathtaking view of the village and countryside. The Portuguese breakfast served was delicious, with locally sourced products. One highlight of my stay was hiking to the castle and exploring the miller's cottages and museum near the creek. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely return when I visit the region again.
While the building itself was charming, I must mention that it may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or wheelchair users due to the many stairs. However, for those who are able, the unique and traditional design of the place is truly worth experiencing.

The terrace offered stunning countryside views, and the breakfast with local products was delicious. The hosts, Antonio and Isabel, were friendly and interesting, and we even had the chance to enjoy a private concert of traditional Portuguese guitar. The location was perfect, with the castle, dam, and walks just a short 10-minute walk away. The staff treated us like family friends, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Plus, we were treated to a special breakfast accompanied by guitar music played by the owner, Pascoal. It was such a unique and delightful experience.

The homemade furniture gave the place a rustic feel, and the owner's guitar playing was a pleasant surprise. The view from the terrace was stunning and worth the visit alone. Additionally, the breakfast had a good variety of options and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a standout.
The lack of clear directions and information about the facilities was frustrating. The maps provided were useless and didn't show any useful information.

As avid bike riders, we loved the comfortable and clean facilities at Casal Da Serra. The delicious breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice was a delightful treat. The homemade guitars and live music by Pasqual added a unique touch to our stay. The view from the terrace was superb, offering beautiful sights of Monsanto in the distance. The free wifi, although initially slow to connect, provided us with a reliable connection during our stay. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding attractions such as Penha Garcia, Belmonte, and more. We highly recommend asking Pasqual for insider tips on the best places to visit in the area.
Felt right at home, nothing to complain about.
